PupularIn is brand new service that allows its users to have fun whilst experience the Internet in a new global way. By using PopularIn, you can learn how your apperance is experienced in different parts of the world. Simply upload your picture and you will start getting results within minutes! Prepare to be surprised!

Why did you create this website?

In our travels around the world we noticed that there really are no absolutes when it comes to what is considered beautiful and not in different cultures. What is horribly pale skin in on part pf the world is wonderfully clean skin in another. We have so many preconceptions about what is beautiful and not in modern society, and at PopularIn we hope to smash those preconceptions bits! We are all beautiful in different ways, but also in different places! We hope to make a contribution to the debate on ideals as well as entertaining our users.

How does the List work?

The PopularIn map is a complete visual presentation of the data gathered for each picture, but we have summarised the most interesting data below the map to increase usability. The top 5 is the rank of the countries where you are the most popular, starting with the highest ranking.

What does the "You probably don't want to go to" mean?

It is simply a minor warning from us. The country which follows "You probably don't want to go to" is where you are the least popular, in the entire world! Perhaps you DO want to go there, just don't forget we warned you!

How does popularin.com work?

PopularIn automatically maps which country our users are from, and when they vote, we combine this information with your rating, thus creating a PopularIn map, which presents this info graphically. For more information about the map, please See FAQ question "How does the PopularIn map work?"

What does the "My votes" map show?

"My Votes" map show a summary of your own votes. Do you really know what nationalities you like yourself? We will let you find that out! We highly recommend that you are logged in while you vote, as it is the only way to have your votes saved. We can also confirm that we are working on a new feature for which you will need your votes info, so log in, and keep being logged in!

How do I upload additional pictures?

Simply log in on the front page or click "Log in" in the menu. After logging in, the user menu will appear, choose "Upload pics" to access an easy to use picture uploading function.

How do I edit my info?

Log in on the front page or click "Log in" in the menu. After logging in, the user menu will appear, choose "Edit profile" to access and change your personal information.

How do I access the results of my pictures?

Simply Log in on the front page or click "Log in" in the menu. After logging in, the user menu will appear, choose "My Pics". You will now be presented all you available pictures, and below each picture is the link "Statistics", which will take you to the map of each picture.

How do I get started?

Just click on the sign-up shortcut on the front page, or click "Sign-up" in the menu. Choose a username, upload a picture, and you are done!

How does the toplists work?

Toplists shows a collection of the highest ranked pictures from different parts of the world. Use the options on the left menu to browse between continents.

How does the PopularIn map work?

The PopularIn map, which we are very proud of, has the capacity to to sum up huge amounts of information into an easy to read visual presentation, in other words, a map. For every vote cast, the nationality of the user and his rating will be saved, and together with thousands of other users, he will create the data for mapping the popularity of the rated picture.

Who is writing the PopularIn blog?

The founders of www.popularin.com. We are two ordinary blokes who will remain anonymous. However, we have put our pictures on PopularIn somewhere, can you spot us?

How do I remove my pictures?

Log in on the front page or click "Log in" in the menu. After logging in, the user menu will appear, choose "My pictures". Check the boxes of each picture you wish to be deleted, and then press the delete button. But remember, the picture and its data will be lost forever.
